Since the tragedy of 911, Jonathan Atkin pivoted from general editorial photojournalism, to producing bespoke aerial media in North American ports, for cruise lines, blue water cargo ships, work boats, dinner boats, and military vessels with authentic knowledge. With hundreds of hours in manned helicopters he also embraces the immersive essence of drones.
Known for meticulous pre-shoot logistics planning, Atkin brings maritime savvy to aerial work with an unwavering mandate for safety and situational awareness. Atkin holds a Merchant mariner’s Ordinary Seaman’s credential; permitting him as a college student, to sail Trans-Atlantic voyages from Galveston. Subsequently he earned a 100 ton USCG Masters License, ensuring credibility in the maritime sector. In essence, Jonathan speaks “Ship.”
From the President
In the New York harbor, this man does not need an introduction. From helicopters or drones he gets the shots his client’s need. No wonder he is called “The Shipshooter”. I enjoyed having him on our educational series, a real gentlemen that gets results. You can reach him at jo******@sh*********.com
